The FabricXchange

Basically - if it’s “haram” to see it rotting in a landfill, give it to us before it gets dirty & one of these FabricXchange programs will turn your trash into treasure:

The FabricXchange at Sitt Naila - Lebanon’s first Freecycling Center - gets all kinds of still useful material reused as quickly & effectively as possible by giving it away for free to anyone who can use it.

Starting with Warradit in 2024, our pilot program to prevent Warde’s usable deadstock fabric from reaching landfill, we very quickly expanded our scope to include other forms of “Deadstock”- still useful objects and materials from atelier scraps, spring cleans & the discards of house closures - we even have a pilot project with AUH.

We support a large & growing community of makers, designers, artists, schools, libraries & NGOs with free material donated by businesses & households, to-date saving 30T of material from landfill, upcycled into usable items by 200+ projects nationwide.

⚠️ Relief Support Programs

We are a donations drop-off point for Root&Rise relief efforts for displaced families in the Rif.

Anything & everything helps- do a quick spring clean & pass on anything you don't need anymore ♡

🎨 Junk For Art

We “Make Art Happen” by providing projects with free material through The FabricXchange - Lebanon’s first Freecycling Center - to-date saving 20T of material from landfill, upcycled into usable items by 170+ projects nationwide.

It's not just fabric! The FabricXchange WasteLibrary has a collection of weird & still useful waste that artists LOVE

📚 Beirut Book Donations

Started in 2017 to create libraries from donated books, this January we proudly delivered our 10th Little Library to the Sundanese Women's Organization Center & set up their first ever bookshelves!

Donate used storybooks [Eng, Ar, French], toys, art supplies [even used] suitable for preschool up to G6

🆓 SoukElSabet Thrift Shop & Freecycle Boxes

Our thrift shop is one of the ways we generate income, and our Sales-for-a-Cause on behalf of La Maisonette de Tanya pay for chronic medication & essential support for the elderly.

Our Free Book Suitcase, DVD Crate & “Weird Junk” Boxes fill our courtyard & stairs every Saturday for visitors to explore & “steal” from.

Warradit Program

In our pilot project we were challenged by Warde Fabrics to ethically reduce 30Tons of backed up deadstock without causing chaos in the depot, or flooding the market.

We developed “Warradit” - a bespoke CSR program for Warde that fully integrates waste management protocol & culture of recycling across all Warde staff, with an authentic CSR program supporting a 200+ strong community of makers, designers, artists & NGOs nationwide that have upcycled 20T+ of deadstock into usable & sellable items, many of which are sold through our “Proof-of-Concept” Store.
